Nimble Arts - Cirque du Splice: For circus, theater, & entertainment rigging

About: This is a hands on rope splicing workshop designed to support the needs of circus, theater and entertainment professionals. This 4 day workshop will begin with 3 strand splicing (trapeze and utility ropes), then progress to hollow braid (dynamic aerial and rigging ropes), and finish with double braid (rigging ropes, safety lines, etc). Participation by studio owners, production riggers, aerialists and other circus practitioners who rely on ropes, and anyone responsible for safety with ropes, is encouraged to join this workshop. Folks from other industries are welcome - this is an all inclusive, kind, supportive space and the information is valuable to many!
Fee: $585 includes splicing tool kit valued at $120, plus all lodging and shared meals.
